Achieving Sustainable Success Through Educational Tools 2025
Project report except (SHEAD)
Project objective – “To enhance accessibility to educational resources and foster an enriched learning environment for students in Osun and Kwara States.”
Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives, breaking cycles of poverty, and fostering long-term societal growth. However, many Nigerian schools, particularly in underserved communities, lack basic infrastructure and learning resources. At St. Anthony’s College, Ikoyi (Osun State), and Government Day Secondary School, Agbabiaka (Kwara State), students lacked access to functional libraries, essential textbooks, or study spaces, hindering their ability to achieve academic success and diminishing motivation.

To address these gaps, SHEAD Centre, with generous support from After God Heart Inc., USA, launched the ASSET (Achieving Sustainable Success Through Educational Tools) Library Project. This initiative was designed to bridge the resource gap by establishing fully functional, well-equipped libraries in each school. The project promotes literacy, supports independent study, and encourages academic excellence.
Through the project, a wide range of educational materials were donated, including books, reading tables, chairs, bookshelves, dictionaries, and motivational prints. These resources were carefully selected and provided to create a conducive and inspiring learning environment for students. The success of this initiative was made possible through the support and collaboration of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in both Osun and Kwara States, as well as the active involvement of the Local Inspectors of Education (LIEs) in the respective Local Government Areas. Their endorsement, oversight, and facilitation were instrumental in ensuring smooth implementation, stakeholder buy-in, and sustainability of the project within the school systems.
The ASSET Library Project in Osun and Kwara States has made a tangible impact by equipping students with vital academic tools and inspiring a renewed commitment to learning. With continued support and partnership from After God Heart USA and other stakeholders, this model can be scaled to uplift more communities and transform educational outcomes across Nigeria.
